The National Weather Service confirms a fourth touchdown in Kent County on March 30, bringing the state total for the day to 13 tornadoes

The storm systems that flowed across West Michigan March 30 dropped multiple tornadoes including the latest confirmed by the National Weather Service north of Kent City.

The EF1 tornado touched down just before 6PM near 19 Mile Road and Peach Ridge Avenue, heading northeast for about two minutes covering 1.6 miles largely through woods.

Two homes along its path had roof damage consistent with an EF0 tornado which then intensified to EF1-level damage, snapping and uprooting trees with wind speeds reaching 95 mph.

No injuries were reported.

For March 30th, the National Weather Service has now confirmed 13 tornadoes across Kent, Newaygo, Ionia, Cass, Ingham, Shiawassee and Monroe counties.
