Around 400 guests are expected to attend this year’s Easter meal

With Easter just a week and half away, Mel Trotter Ministries is prepping for its annual Easter Holiday Community meal.

A news release says Mel Trotter, the largest provider of services to people experiencing homelessness in West Michigan, will host the meal on Wednesday April 16th at its Mel Trotter Ministries Cook Cafeteria. The meal is for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, as well as anyone seeking fellowship during this season.

The meal is always plentiful. Area residents can forward to everything from ham to mashed potatoes and deserts.

About 400 guests are expected to attend this year’s Easter meal. Mel Trotter Ministries is looking for community volunteers to help prepare and plate the food, as well as help with clean-up.

In 2024, Mel Trotter provided shelter, food, or services to over 48-hundred individuals, including more than 185-thousand meals.

Those interested in volunteering can register on the Mel Trotter Ministries Portal which can be found on their website at meltrotter.org.
