AT&T makes contribution supporting Calvin University's Wayfinder Program.

AT&T makes major contribution Wednesday providing funding and tools necessary for success.

Through its Wayfinder Program, Calvin University offers adult students free college credits.

Many students enrolled in the program live near campus in Grand Rapids’ 49507 Zip code where they encounter social and economic barriers.

Through its 49507 Initiative, Calvin and community partners launched the Wayfinder Program last year. It learned 90-percent of its adult participants lacked the technology and knowhow – the digital literacy skills – necessary for success.

AT&T is partnering with Calvin making a $50,000 contribution providing free laptops and educational software. Fostering success, the Wayfinder Program offers courses in digital literacy training.

Later this month, applications for the next Wayfinder cohort will be accepted.
