A worldwide manufacturer is expanding and bringing jobs to West Michigan

Rollon Corporation, a subsidiary of The Timken Company, announced Tuesday it’s building a $16 million, 147,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 1070 North Gateway Boulevard in Norton Shores, creating 43 new jobs.

Rollon manufactures linear motion systems for a wide range of industries, including industrial automation, medical equipment and aerospace.

The new state-of-the-art facility will specifically produce linear components, robotic transfer units, actuators and gantries.

According to the Greater Muskegon Economic Development Corporation, Michigan was selected for this expansion due to West Michigan’s strong manufacturing workforce.

The company will be partnering with West Michigan Works! and Muskegon Community College to provide training and development programs for its employees.

Rollon includes operations in Italy, Germany, Spain and China, as well as divisions in India, and subsidiaries in France and the United Kingdom.

The new facility is expected to be operational by summer 2025.
