Grand Rapids has three wards and each ward elects two city commissioners serving staggered terms.
Voters in the First Ward elected a new commissioner AliciaMarie Belchak to represent them over opponent Dean Pacific.
The open seat is left by Jon O’Connor who is term limited.
In Ward 2, Milinda Ysasi ran unopposed to continue serving in her seat.
Ward 3 voters elected Marshall Kilgore over Bing Goei who was unanimously appointed to the seat by the city commission in March to replace Nathaniel Moody who resigned for personal reasons.
