According to the Allegan County Register of Deeds, Microsoft has purchased two adjacent properties in Dorr Township in Allegan County.
Those properties include 128 acres on 144th Avenue and 144 acres at 4555 14th Street. Microsoft purchased the land from an entity registered to Duke Suwyn, principal and senior vice president of investment at Advantage Commercial Real Estate. The deed was filed on October 2nd.
Microsoft recently confirmed its purchase of 316 acres on the northwest corner of Patterson Avenue and 76th Street in Gaines Township. This property was purchased from Steelcase for $45.3 million and is being eyed for a potential data center.
While no statement was given concerning the Allegan County property from either Microsoft or Advantage, a spokesperson for Microsoft did confirm to WGVU that the company acquired the Gaines Township property in collaboration with The Right Place in their “ongoing search for development opportunities in the Michigan market.”
Microsoft also confirmed that details about a potential data center in Kent County would be forthcoming.
