“I could not be more excited.”
That’s Calvin University’s new president Greg Elzinga on Instagram a few weeks ago, welcoming students back to campus while he was still interim president.
“You are part of an exciting time in our history.”
In their announcement the Calvin Board of Trustees said Elzinga has the vision and commitment to lead the university. Elzinga says he is grateful for the opportunity.
“As we continue our momentum as we approach our 150th anniversary.”
Elzinga replaces Wiebe Boer, who resigned in February after disputed allegations he sent inappropriate messages to a female contractor. Elzinga is Calvin’s 13th president.
“I can’t wait to see how God continues to work in and through all of you here at Calvin University.”
