Local and state Republicans held a rally in Grand Rapids Wednesday evening to bolster support for candidates Mike Rogers and Paul Hudson

Over one hundred attendees came out to the Michigan Forward Rally in support of U.S. Senate Candidate Mike Rogers and Michigan’s 3rd Congressional Candidate Paul Hudson.

Rogers called for boots on the ground to get the word out mobilizing voters to get to the polls.

“The stakes couldn’t be higher; the choices could not be clearer. Think about the things we’ve got to get done in the next twenty days. People are counting on us. They know that if Republicans win in November, we will have their back.”

Also in attendance and formally endorsing Rogers was former Michigan governor Rick Snyder.

“You look around this room, we have people with a lot of different perspectives, a lot of different views, but we have common values. And we’re all going in the same direction to make our nation better, to make Michigan better, and to make Kent County better.”

And Paul Hudson spoke about why he feels he’s the best candidate for the job of representing West Michigan.

“This is Gerald Ford’s district. That still means something around here. It’s a commitment to good government. It’s a commitment to serving your people. And it’s a commitment to a positive agenda of change.”

Rogers is running against Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat, while Hudson is challenging incumbent Congresswoman Hillary Scholten.
