Construction contractors are invited to learn about bidding opportunities on upcoming projects in Grand Rapids ranging from $300,000 to $20 million.
The River Corridor Contractor Networking Event aims to connect potential prime contractors with potential subcontractors for city projects going out for bid in the next few months.
The projects will require certain expertise including heavy civil works projects, and parks and facility renovations.
Skilled trades needed include building demolition, concrete and masonry, earthwork and landscaping, water services, electrical, specialty metals and more.
Those interested in the free event are encouraged to register ahead of time online on the Grand Rapids city website, but walk-in registration will be available.
The event is Tuesday, October 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Southwest Middle/High School on Rumsey Street in Grand Rapids.
