Israel is targeting the militant group Hezbollah with air strikes and hidden explosives in retaliation for rocket and missile attacks.
That’s as Israel continues it’s offensive in Gaza against Hamas, a conflict which has claimed tens of thousands of Palestinian lives.
Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, who is a Palestinian American and staunch critic of Israel, says the U.S could “stop the bloodshed.”
She wants the Biden Administration to enact an arms embargo against Israel.
Tlaib says calls are flooding her office from constituents trying to find family members in Lebanon or help in evacuating them.
Biden officials say they continue negotiating with Israel and Hezbollah to reach a temporary cease-fire and stave-off a wider war in the region.
