Michigan House Republicans are highlighting the economy, education, and energy policy in their plans for after the election

Republicans are calling it their “Mission for Michigan”—a ten-point promise for if they take back the state House of Representatives.

Ideas include lowering income taxes, infrastructure spending, and deregulation.

Republican Representative Ann Bollin says it’s more than an election year strategy.

“This is a path forward. This is a combination of already conducted focus groups, being in our districts, talk to people, talking to each other, sitting through committee hearings, hearing the reaction of these bills and these policy changes.”

Democrats would remain in control of the state Senate and Governor’s office, even if Republicans do win back the House. That could spell trouble for their priorities.
