Rep. Friske case referred to Attorney General’s office

Michigan Public Radio

The county prosecutor investigating allegations against State Representative Neil Friske is referring the case to the Michigan Attorney General’s office

The Lansing Police Department responded to reports of shots fired and arrested Friske in the early morning of June 20. The department began investigating allegations of assault and use of a firearm.

Now, the Ingham County Prosecutor says he’s referring the case to Attorney General Dana Nessel, citing possible crimes in multiple counties in the state.

Friske represents a northern Michigan house district. He lost his bid for re-election during last month’s primary and will not appear on the November ballot.
