Tomorrow is the final day of this Michigan Supreme Court term with some big decisions still outstanding.

The cases include whether Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Lake Superior State universities owe students tuition and room and boarding fee refunds for cancelling in-person classes due to COVID-19.

Also, whether the state owes gyms, bowling alleys and recreation centers compensation for lost business due to COVID restrictions.

Another pending decision is on whether a Republican-led Legislature skirted the Michigan Constitution by diluting minimum wage increases and mandatory paid sick leave initiatives instead of letting the questions go to the ballot.

The court delayed deciding a case on whether sneakers used to kick a victim can be considered a dangerous weapon.

It’s giving the parties 28 days to file more briefs.
