Two arrested in connection with Muskegon homicide

In Muskegon, two men are in custody in relation to an Open Murder investigation.

36-year-old Robert Reed of Muskegon Heights and 41-year-old Leland Snyder of Muskegon have been arrested and charged with Open Murder, according to the Muskegon Police Department.

On July 1st, 63-year-old Michael Farmer was reported missing from his home in the 2000 block of Jarman Street near East Keating Avenue in Muskegon Heights.

On July 8th, Farmer’s body was discovered inside his vehicle parked in the 900 block of Fleming Avenue near Winters Street in Muskegon.

After a homicide investigation conducted by the Muskegon Police Department, Michigan State Police and its Crime Lab, and the Muskegon Heights Police Department, it was determined that the homicide occurred at the Jarman Street address.

Both Robert Reed and Leland Snyder are currently in custody in relation to the case.
