Cascade Township is updating its community Master Plan and asking residents for their feedback.

“A Master Plan is an opportunity for a community to come together, for the local officials to reach out to their community, ask for feedback and create a guide on future development and what the township wants to be.”

Andrea Hendrick is Cascade Township’s Community Planning & Development Director. She says current feedback emphasizes a need for preservation.

“We heard from a lot of the community members. They want to preserve farmland, that they love the direction that the parks and pathways are going in and they want to continue to see connections and a relationship with green spaces and nature and that they want to preserve the character of Cascade.”

Hendrick says all feedback will be gathered into a packet the community can view online leading up to the Master Plan meeting. You can attend that meeting online or in person on June 3rd at 7 p.m. at the Wisner Center.
