Alticor, the parent company of Amway, is renovating and expanding two of its West Michigan facilities.
At Amway’s Spaulding Plaza, 48,000 square feet of unused space will be transformed into a state-state-of-the-art Nutrition Solid Dose Manufacturing center. Think ingredient blending for hard and soft tablets.
On its main campus, the Fulton Street Innovation & Science Pilot Plant Facility will undergo an 18,750 square foot expansion for nutrition research and development.
Alticor is making a $127.6 million investment adding 260 new high-paying jobs.
Amway is shuttering an out-of-state facility bringing those jobs and supply chain to its Ada Township campus.
“Our facility in California we will fully close operations by the end of 2026.”
Michael Nelson is Chief Operating & Chief People Officer.
“We’ve actually started hiring and we have transferred some of the roles here already and we will be hiring over the next two and a half years up to those 260 positions.”
Regional nonprofit economic development organization, The Right Place, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation assisted Alticor. The MEDC supporting the projects with a $2 million Michigan Development Program Grant.
