This undated combo of photos provided by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office shows James Crumbley, left, and Jennifer Crumbley, the parents of Ethan Crumbley, a teen accused of killing four students in a shooting at Oxford High School, in Michigan.

The case could follow a precedent just set by the conviction of the shooter’s mother on the same involuntary manslaughter charges

Weeks ago jurors held Jennifer Crumbley criminally responsible for her son killing four classmates at Oxford High in November of 2021.

Now jurors must decide if her husband, James Crumbley, also could have reasonably foreseen their son was primed for violence and if he allowed the teen access to the murder weapon.

During her trial, Jennifer Crumbley claimed her husband was responsible for storing all weapons in their home.

Prosecutors allege text messages and journal entries show James Crumbly ignored his troubled son’s request to see a doctor...instead giving him pills and telling him to “suck it up.”

The defense contends Crumbley never knew about the messages...and protested them being used as evidence since attorneys cannot question the son about it. The teen is weighing an appeal and won’t testify at his parents’ trials.
