Payload CMS commitment to the region further positions Grand Rapids as Midwest tech hub.

Payload CMS is a Grand Rapids-based content management solutions company assisting businesses with management of digital content at scale. It’s a Silicon Valley-funded start-up founded in 2018.

Currently, Payload CMS employs 10 full-time workers, but with demand for its products, there’s a need for significant expansion. Sites in California, Florida and New York were explored, but leadership determined Grand Rapids area’s talent base stood out. It will invest $875,000 into its Grand Rapids headquarters, adding 1,600 square feet. Payload will create 55 high-wage tech jobs in the process.

Regional economic development organization, The Right Place, is assisting with the process.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation is supporting the project with a $302,500 performance-based grant.
