Friday at Grand Rapids’ Downtown Market, the Grand Rapids-based fintech pledged $30 toward construction of Acrisure Amphitheater.

Acrisure Amphitheater is the official name of Grand Rapids 12,000 seat, 85,000-square-foot outdoor venue. The fintech headquartered in GR pledged a $30 million lead gift toward design and construction.

Greg Williams is Acrisure Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO

“What it means for the city and linking us even further with Grand Rapids is something we are immensely proud about, and look forward to doing, frankly even more. As the city continues to grow and expand, and we continue to grow and expand.”

The not-for-profit economic development organization, Grand Action 2.0 is spearheading the project’s Next Wave campaign. Its goal is raising $184 million to finance amphitheater construction. Acrisure’s $30 million commitment brings the private donation goal of $70 million past the midway point. Grand Action 2.0 and its partners continue efforts securing another $114 million in public funding.

The 31-acre riverfront site stretches from Fulton Street along the Market Avenue corridor to Wealthy Street. Community leaders envision the amphitheater serving as a catalyst for more economic growth including up to 1,500 to 1,700 new housing units.

The amphitheater is scheduled for competition in spring of 2026.
