Grandville-based manufacturer expanding operations in Kent County creating jobs.

Jireh Metal Products is a metal stamping company focused on the auto and furniture industries along with security and outdoor power equipment. The minority-owned business founded four decades ago is headquartered in Grandville. Planning its next expansion project, sites identified in Indiana and Ohio offered opportunities for growth.

With an assist from regional economic development organization The Right Place, Jireh has decided its best option for growth is in Kent County. In particular, an existing facility in the City of Walker. That’s where Jireh will invest $1.56 million in new equipment and create 50 new jobs.

The project is receiving a $200,0000 Michigan Economic Development grant.
