Double shooting in Wyoming Friday has authorities looking for answers

Police identify two men killed in driveway of residence

Authorities in Wyoming are searching for answers after police discovered the bodies of two men who had been shot Friday morning.

After a 911-call from a neighbor, Wyoming Police Captain Timothy Pols said detectives arrived on the scene of the double killing in the 3000 block of Buchanan, just south of Grand Rapids around 7:30 Friday morning.

Authorities say the officers discovered the bodies of 25-year-old Andrew Gil who was found inside a car parked at the residence, and 30-year-old Louis Ruiz who was lying in the driveway.

Both men were declared dead.

No arrests have been made; however, police did say they recovered a gun at the scene, and authorities do not believe there is a threat to the general public at this time.

Detectives say they are still trying to work through exactly what happened.

Anyone with information about the deadly double shooting is asked to contact Wyoming police at (616) 530-7300 or Silent Observer.
