Luke Meerman is a fourth generation farmer who still lives on the same piece of land in Coopersville that his family settled in 1882. A proud conservative, Meerman has been a Polkton Township Trustee since 2012.

“My campaign is about our faith, our family and our freedom. It’s those three things that I believe makes our community strong, and it’s those three things I believe are why people immigrated to the United States and why people came here,” Meerman said. “And its those three things that we need to keep in focus when we are in Lansing, or whatever Government we are in. And I sure would appreciate your vote August 7th.”

Jason Minier, is the vice president of Star Flooring and a member of the Georgetown Township Board of Trustees. He says his campaign is focused on small business owners, education and protecting the 2nd Amendment.

“I’m a fiscal conservative, I have owned and operated small businesses in West Michigan for a long time, and I care about small businesses,” Minier said. “I am actively involved in local schools and supporting schools will be one of my top priorities in Lansing. As a proud gun owner, I do support the 2nd Amendment, however I am the only candidate not to receive an ‘A’ rating from the NRA. That is because I do believe in sensible gun control particularly suffering from mental illness. I look for your vote on August 7th.
