MSU clears professor of sexual harassment allegations

An investigation into a Michigan State University professor who took a stand against the school during the gymnastics scandal found insufficient evidence that her sexual relationship with a female student several years ago violated university policy.

The Lansing State Journal reports that in a letter the university's Office of Institutional Equity found that the relationship "did not alone constitute" a violation of the sexual harassment policy in place at the time. The report also found that Ellen Fedon-Keyt acknowledged that she didn't feel forced into the relationship.

In January, Carter resigned as faculty athletic representative and chair of MSU's Athletic Council over the university's handing of the scandal involving gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar,, Nassar is now in prison for molesting young athletes.
