A man caught just outside of a Grand Rapids bank he allegedly robbed now faces federal charges.
The Grand Rapids Police Department says Durand Quentin Lee was arrested Tuesday morning.
Police say Sergeant Tom Warwick was walking into the Kent County Courthouse when he saw the 24-year-old man flee the scene.
Lee allegedly walked into Huntington, pointed what appeared to be a gun at bank employees and left with more than $5,000, according to court records.
Officers say a BB gun was recovered during the arrest, which occurred less than 50 feet from the bank.
Police say Lee is in federal custody pending arraignment, which is expected later this week.
