Presidential primary candidates John Kasich and Bernie Sanders bring their messages to west Michigan voters on Friday.
GOP candidate John Kasich and Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders are both hosting local rallies this evening ahead of Tuesday’s state primary election.
Kasich hosts a town hall at Herman Miller’s Holland campus, sponsored by Kasich for America. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the Ohio governor expected to speak at 6.
Sanders will be at Grand Valley State University’s Finch Fieldhouse. Doors for the Vermont senator’s evening event open at 4:30 p.m.
All GOP and Democratic candidates have a current campaign presence in Michigan, alongside last night’s Republican debate in Detroit and Sunday’s Democratic debate in Flint.
Kasich’s campaign in particular has stressed the importance of Michigan and Ohio to his overall chance of success. At least seven other Kasich rallies in Michigan are planned through Monday.
