Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss gives her inaugural State of the City address tonight.

It will be the first time Bliss speaks publicly and specifically to her priorities and vision for the city of Grand Rapids since taking office.

The address is scheduled for 6:15 p.m., and will also be streamed online at MayorBliss.org.

Following tonight’s speech, three community forums featuring Bliss are planned as another way to connect with residents.

Those forums kick off next Monday at Shawmutt Hills Elementary at 7 p.m.

Bliss is Grand Rapids’ first female mayor. She’s also the city’s youngest mayor in more than a century.

Hilary is a General Assignment and Enterprise reporter for WGVU Public Media. She joined WGVU in September 2014 after several years of experience as a local news reporter, anchor and photojournalist in Midland, Saginaw and Bay counties. She's also worked as a financial and business reporter and audio field producer.
