Kent county authorities have arrested a suspect in a Thanksgiving armed robbery at a Plainfield Township grocer.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Department says a man held a gun to a 52-year-old woman’s head in a Meijer’s restroom and demanded her wallet.
It occurred just before 7 p.m. on Thursday evening.
Several shoppers saw the man flee the store with a gun and the wallet.
Authorities say a Meijer employee was able to identify the 24-year-old male suspect, who was located in a nearby apartment and arrested.
He is currently lodged in the Kent County Jail and charged with armed robbery.
