Marijuana dispensaries raided after alleged illegal sales
Three Kent County marijuana dispensaries were raided on Wednesday following anonymous tips related to illegal sales.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Department says it was part of a joint operation launched earlier this month after allegations of illegal marijuana sales were received by law enforcement.
Officers say undercover investigators found all three dispensaries sold marijuana in violation of the state’s medical marijuana act.
Marijuana and other drug-related items were seized from the businesses.
The sheriff’s office says the cases will be given to the county prosecutor’s office for review.
