A Veteran-owned cybersecurity company is expanding into West Michigan creating new jobs.
Arlington, Virginia-based Grimm provides cybersecurity consulting, research, testing and training for a number of government and commercial clients. As it looks at industry growth over the next three years, Grimm has decided now is the time to expand nationwide.
It’s focus in Michigan is serving the cybersecurity needs of the state’s mainstay automotive and aerospace industries. With help from regional nonprofit economic development organization, The Right Place, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Grimm has selected the Village of Sparta’s downtown business district for its cybersecurity research lab. Here Grimm will invest $621,000 and create 27 high-tech jobs.
Brian DeMuth is GRIMM’s CEO, he says, “West Michigan’s low cost of doing business, combined with its talented pool of technology workers will make our company more competitive.”
The MEDC will provide a $216,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant.
