Grand Rapids Civic Theatre presents Rock of Ages, a cast of 21 volunteers, with live bank Karaoke and Costume contests for the audience. Director of Marketing and Communications Noddea Skidmore and leading man Joel Sieman talk about the show and more.

Art Prize kicks off today. We begin welcoming in artists to share their work, Pamela Alderman, artist, and veteran Jill Hinton-Wolfe discuss Red Jeans Redemption, a healing in arts project that amplifies the voices of sexual trauma survivors through art.

An important book fair benefits Hackley Public Library. Guests discuss their preparation for a September 25th event at Barnes & Noble with over 25 authors. We are joined by Kelly Burns, Manager of Barnes & Noble, Barb Klingenmaier, Board member Friends of Hackley Public Library Monica Amore, Author and Ramona Opperman, co-chair of the Trail of Michigan Authors with all of the details and the importance of fundraising.

The roving mic recently attended the Children’s Healing Center, Melissa Block, Director of Development and Growth takes us on a tour. We talk about the 10th anniversary achievements and tour the new home. We ask if lives are being touched.
