Michigan based tech entrepreneurs from Start Garden are semi finalists for the Pharell Williams' Black Ambition Prize, each a previous winner of Start Garden's The 100 event. We talk about this and today's deadline for this year's 100 with co-director Paul Moore.

The Haters is a novel with the tag line, "you never know who's out there", written by Robyn Harding and based loosely on her own receival of a disturbing message from an unknown sender in the editorial world. We discuss this and the topic of online harassment.

The Grand Rapids Police Foundation offers a fundraising arm for the GRPD, Development Director Shari Glass talks about the year round events offered, including a fall golf outing. Formed in 2016, the Foundation was established to assist in the community outreach.

Korean Connection’s next big event is the Korean Tea Experience, including 2 Korean dances, and a ceremony, with translated readings of ancient Korean poetry. We discuss this July 23 event with Connie Busser and Dr. Ian Haight.
