The Roving Microphone visits Beacon Hill at Eastgate, the topic, what is continuing care retirement, person centered care and ensuring residents’ individual needs are met. An opportunity for students to be awarded a scholarship is our conversation with Community Choice Foundation’s ED Kevin McAlpine, the goal for students to attend Michigan colleges/universities, skilled trade programs or continuing education. The Give Big in Michigan program is key to the scholarship uniqueness.

We discuss a unique opportunity for youth aging out of foster care, DA Blodgett-St John is launching a distinctive Independent Living Plus program. We talk to Amber Jones about this campus based program providing a supportive bridge into adulthood.

Ferris State University offers Students Success Hubs, assisting students with application and registration help, financial aid guidance, academic advising, career development and more. The new director of the Grand Rapids Operations David Durkee talks about the Hub, classes offered in many majors, on line and in person.
