Priority Health, Art and Science of Aging Conference, Guiding Light, and AllArtWorks

Have you heard of Nature Deficit Disorder? It may be caused by spending less time out of doors, especially in these winter times. Priority Health’s Dr. Charlette Dennis, Medical Director of Behavioral Health, discusses the topic, including symptoms, treatment and prevention.

This Friday marks the 19th annual Aging Art and Science of Aging Conference, the theme, Claiming the Power of Aging. GVSU’s Priscilla Kimbodo discusses this educational event dedicated to broadening the dialogue on aging in West Michigan.

Guiding Light has just opened its 2100 square foot on site gym, an opportunity to replace addictive behaviors with positive outlets as foundational to recovery. We talk with David Madiol about the new addition as part of the Step Up and Serve Initiative.

Fifteen minutes of fame comes to GR, a concept of 15 new one minute works specifically written for a musician or ensemble to perform. The performance features works written for Mary Beth Orr and her unique talents combing signing with playing the horn. We talk to Mary Beth and Ellen Trumbo from the AllArtWorks Viewing Studio.
