West Michigan Groundbreakers, The Heart of West Michigan United Way, King’s Table, and The Book Nook and Java Shop.

Recently PBS and WGVU aired the documentary Groundbreakers, featuring sports icons from different generations, celebrating the advancements of women in sports and society while also revealing mentorship and community building. Our local series introduces you to Groundbreakers in our own backyard. On this edition, We sit down with 3 such, an Ironwoman, a Team USA Qualifier, and a ParaOlympian Gold Medal Winner.

The Heart of West Michigan United Way presents their annual Holiday Giving Guide. We talk to Maribeth Groen and Taylor Greenfield about the giving and volunteering theme, including the gift of nourishment, treasure and more.

King’s Table programming focuses on providing supportive services, enrichment opportunities and community connections in public special ed schools, adult group homes and in the community. ED Amber Koster discusses the mission and the impact to the students served.

West Michigan Authors unite. The Book Nook and Java Shop hosts a Michigan authors event along with a liquor tasting experience this Saturday, author Ingar Rudholm joins in to share the details about the authors, and how the 3-7 pm event works.
