Vice President Pence campaigns in Holland, calls impeachment hearings a "disgrace"

United States Vice President Mike Pence visited West Michigan Wednesday evening, as supporters of the Trump Administration gathered for a “Keep America Great” rally in Holland, Michigan. Pence spent the first part of his speach praising President Donald Trump's accomplishments over the past three years,  calling his service under the President as "the greatest honor of my life."

“We are here for one reason, and one reason only,” Pence said. “And that is Michigan, and America, need four more years of President Donald Trump in the White House.”

Joining the Vice President at the rally was former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and Businessman John James, who is running for the United States Senate once again after a failed bid in 2016.

“It is because of you that I am standing here right now,” James said. “And I want to thank you for all of your thoughts, all of your prayers, and all of your hard work.”

Pence addressed the House Judiciary Committee Hearings Wednesday, where four law professors and constitutional experts testified that President Donald Trump’s pressure to investigate Joe Biden’s son for political gain qualified as an impeachable offense.

Pence called the hearings, a “sham.”

“What Democrats are doing with this partisan impeachment is a disgrace,” Pence said. “Today’s hearings reached a new low.”

This marks Pence’s third visit to Michigan this year, as many political insiders say the state of Michigan, along with Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, are three key battle ground states that could determine the outcome of the 2020 Presidential election.

In 2016, President Donald Trump won the state of Michigan by fewer than 11,000 votes.  The President and the Vice President spent the night before the 2016 election campaigning in Grand Rapids.
