Report: Ex-Michigan delegation members sit on campaign cash

A published report says former members of Michigan's congressional delegation are sitting on more than $3.5 million in surplus campaign cash.
 
The Detroit News reports that includes former Republican Congressman Dave Camp, who has $2.1 million idling in his campaign accounts. Camp, who served 12 House terms before his retirement, says: "I haven't made any decisions on what to do with that."
 
The newspaper says former GOP Congressman Mike Rogers, who converted his campaign account to a political action committee, has held on to $1.3 million while former Democratic Congressman John Dingell and former Democratic Sen. Carl Levin largely wound down their committees.
 
  No law requires former members of Congress or federal candidates to divest the money, issue refunds or close their accounts.
