Michigan’s Attorney General is asking home improvement stores strictly abide by the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order.
When Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order it expressed, “All Michigan businesses and operations must temporarily suspend in-person operations that are not necessary to sustain or protect life, and all Michiganders must stay in their homes unless they’re a part of that critical infrastructure workforce, engaged in an outdoor activity, or performing tasks necessary to the health and safety of themselves or their family, like going to the hospital or grocery store.”
Dana Nessel is Michigan’s Attorney General.
“For members of the public, you should only go to these stores to buy products that are necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation and basic operations of your home. So, to the extent possible, you should purchase supplies through delivery services, and not by visiting these stores in-person. And if you must go to a store in-person, it’s essential to practice social distancing and limit the number of people you take with you.”
Nessel says the order also limits the number of on-site employees necessary to maintain the a stores function providing essential safety, sanitation or life protecting items.
