Now in its 16th year, it’s time once again for Mel Trotter Ministries annual “Turkey Drop”.  The goal is to collect turkeys and coats for those in need.  The Turkey Drop takes place tomorrow

The “Turkey Drop” is an opportunity for the community to purchase frozen turkeys to be distributed to those in need throughout West Michigan this holiday season.  In it’s 16th year, Mel Trotter officials say the goal is to receive 16-hundred donated turkeys.  You can drop off the frozen turkeys at Celebration Cinema North and South as well as at Mel Trotter’s downtown mission on Commerce street.  The event runs from 7 am Wednesday to 7 pm.

Mel Trotter is also asking the community to donate new or like-new winter coats at the same locations.  That’s their Code Blue Drive, where there is also a significant need.  You can also make a monetary donation at the sites to help purchase a Thanksgiving meal.
