Four Republicans battled in Michigan’s 88th House district primary. The winner is Luke Meerman earning 63-percent of the vote. His message is Faith, Family & Freedom. Meerman is pro-life, supports locally controlled government and religious freedom. He’s been serving as Polkton Township trustee. Now, it’s on to the state House general election.
“Oh, just completely floored, just grateful," Meerman said. "Winning by that margin is…just grateful to the voters. It really means a lot to me, very thankful.”
Meerman will now face Democrat Heidi Zuniga.
