Little Woods is one of the most critically acclaimed films of 2019, starring young and prolific Tessa Thompson.  This is a small movie with relatable characters forced into criminal situations.

Ash Is Pure White also opens, a Chinese film directed by famed Jia Zhangke, along with Steve Bannon doc The Brink, and Iranian film 3 Faces, directed by Jafar Panahi, who spent six years in an Iranian prison for filmmaking.

WGVU talks with Eric Kuiper from Studio C about this slate of movies.
