Starting today, there are more ways to connect and stay informed with the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.  A new mobile app was released today.

“People had said have you thought about launching a mobile app, and we got that ball rolling and it’s really a way for our customers to engage with us on one other level.”

Tara Hernandez, Marketing & Communications Director, Gerald R. Ford International Airport, says they’re excited about the new Mobile App that launched today… which allows passengers an even easier way to connect before they arrive.  It adds on to the website and in person service, giving travelers up to date information on things like parking.

“You can go on to the mobile app, you can see the parking availability which is key from November through April. If our parking deck is open or full, they can see available spaces, along with other things, the amenities that we offer, food and beverages, along with ground transportation, security wait times that’s all on this new mobile app.”

Hernandez say undoubtedly, the most popular aspect of the Mobile App will be its real time flight information.

“The real time flight information is updated every couple minutes, so, whether you’re a passenger flying out and you want to check on your flight times or you’re a meeter or greeter, you’re picking up mom and dad from the airport or a business partner, you can check to see if that flight is on time.”

The app is free and is available on Android and IOS.
