Local author Milton Nieuwsma, vehicle recalls with the National Safety Council, Grove Restaurant in East Hills wins an award, Mol and Mel’s Miracle Machine come to Lowell, and the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company

Producer and author Milton Nieuwsma joins us to discuss his book ‘Miracle on Chestnut Street: The Untold Story of Thomas Jefferson and the Declaration of Independence.’ Nieusma is a 2-time Emmy Award winning writer and creator of the acclaimed PBS series Inventing America: Conversations with the Founders.

Care Resources PACE in Lowell welcome Mol and Mel’s Miracle Machine and their mini horses. Mol and Mel are sisters with Down Syndrome who have started a unique program through the Michigan Horse Driving School based in Saranac. The Shelley Irwin Show Roving Microphone was on site.

The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company and the Heritage Hill Association present Shakespeare in the Park on July 12th at Pleasant Park in Grand Rapids presenting "Bottoms Dream," a short adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
