The Grand Rapids Neighborhood Summit returns for its 11th year on May 17. We talk about it with Lilibeth Genoa of the Office of Equity and Engagement, about this theme of Bridging Differences, Building Unity.

Karen Frenkel joins us to talk about her book ‘Family Treasures Lost and Found.’ Karen writes about her family history in surviving the Holocaust. We talk to Karen about her investigation into the stories and mysteries, and survival.

The West Michigan Symphony welcomes vocal powerhouse Shayna Steele to the stage this Friday night at the Frauenthal Center, singing hits including River Deep, Mountain High and more. Her eclectic style of soul and blues honors many musical divas set to the talents of the musicians. Shayna joins us this morning.
