Girls Choral Academy presents Giving Girls a Voice on November 12th. Executive Director Lisa Knight joins us to discuss the Academy, this celebration, and the Honorees, Bob and Mikki Clay.

Schuler Books welcomes bestselling author of ‘The Grays of Truth,’ Sharon Virts for a book reading and signing on November 7th. Virts talks about how the truth is not often black or white, but found in the Grays. She also discusses her passion project SELMA and her plans for the Schuler engagement.

VoteAmerica engages college students in a massive get out the vote program, this nonpartisan, nonprofit is reaching out to 50 college campuses, including GVSU. We talk to Colette Kessler, Senior Advisor at VoteAmerica.

It’s the 4th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraising Fitness event, “Squat, Pulse and Dance for Cure” at the Kroc Center on November 9. Valerie James with VSJ Fitness is here to talk about making the day a success and the importance of the funds raised.

The American Pharmacists Association’s Dr. Deanna Tran joins us to talk about a new campaign to remind everyone about the importance of seasonal immunizations and other adult vaccines. We talk about at-risk populations the best resources available.
