In battle of Rockford residents, Afendoulis received 57% of the vote

Republican Lynn Afendoulis returned to politics defeating Rockford small business owner and current Courtland Township Trustee, Democrat Rachel Crowther in Michigan’s 90th House District.

Afendoulis had served one term as a State Representative from 2019 to 2020 and was Tax Policy chair. Returning to Lansing, she’ll focus on local decision-making including parental control in school and in healthcare, supporting public safety, maintaining law and order, and addressing affordability.

“I have demonstrated that I know how to get things over the finish line. I can bring people together and provide the leadership it takes to get things done for my constituents and that’s exactly what I intend to do.”

Michigan’s 90th House district seat opened when Republican Bryan Posthumus announced he would not seek re-election.
