VanWoerkom defeats Democratic challenger Kiel Reid 54% - 46% for Michigan's 88th House District seat.

Along the lakeshore in Muskegon, Republican State Representative Greg VanWoerkom will continue serving the people of Michigan’s 88th House District.

VanWoerkom defeated Democrat Kiel Reid. He says he’ll continue supporting economic development, high-quality education and making the cost of living more affordable.

“But most importantly, I’m accessible, open, and I listen to the constituents. To be an effective representative you’ve got to listen to the community, and I feel like I’ve done that to my best ability so that I can represent the people well when I go out to Lansing.”

When VanWoerkom is sworn in, it will be his fifth term in the Michigan Legislature.
