Democrat Abbie Groff-Blaszak defeated Republican Brady Middleton in Michigan’s 29th Senate District. With over 25 years in public service including education, state government, elected leadership and the nonprofit sector, she’ll focus on fully funding schools and closing affordability gaps.

“We need to be willing to step forward and make sure that thriving wages work, to ensure housing affordability and safe and affordable roofs over everyone’s heads and make sure that everyone has access to affordable and quality healthcare as the most basic human right.”

Groff-Blaszak fills the seat vacated by Winnie Brinks who will now serve as Michigan’s Lieutenant Governor.
