Dozens of new jobs are headed to the lakeshore as an automation tech company expands in West Michigan

Auburn Hills-based Convergix Automation Solutions is opening a 60,000-square-foot production facility in Holland. The company also has facilities in Bridgman and St. Joseph.

Convergix expects to launch production in December from a leased facility in the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue on the south side of Holland, adding 40 to 70 jobs.

Convergix produces custom automated machinery, robotic systems, and factory integration technology, building the hardware and software manufacturing plants use to automate their production lines.

In a statement, Convergix Industrial Solutions President Sam Gooding said, “Demand for our solutions is growing, and this expansion gives us the capacity to serve our customers while creating new opportunities across our organization. West Michigan has long been a source of strong engineering and skilled trades talent, and we’re committed to growing here.”
