Investigators say on August 26, two suspects armed with a knife broke into a home on Silver Ridge Drive in Park Township midday but fled after being startled by a 22-year-old resident.
Days later, suspects broke into a home on Peach Leaf Court in Park Township, stealing thousands of dollars in jewelry, cash and valuables.
Using the Flock Safety Camera System, investigators identified a suspect vehicle linked to a Chicago-based South American Theft Group which targets high-end homes or businesses, surveilling the sites and tracking the owners to strike when the location is unoccupied.
Deputies and Holland Police officers found the vehicle and arrested three suspects, now charged with home invasion.
Detectives are coordinating with other law enforcement agencies nationwide to determine if the group is connected to similar home invasions across Michigan and the U.S.
