The Federal Emergency Management Agency, also known as FEMA, is releasing updated numbers for Michigan residents who have applied for federal relief dollars following storm-related damage April 10th through the 21st of this year.
According to the agency, $7.3 million in FEMA Individual Assistance has been disbursed to 850 households.
More than $5 million has been paid out to National Flood Insurance Program policy holders.
And more than $670,000 in U.S. Small Business Administration low-interest disaster loans have been paid out to individuals and businesses.
Applications and eight FEMA recovery centers are open throughout the state until August 31st, 2026, and residents from 27 designated counties are eligible for relief.
